Most of all, I guess fanfic is a chance to explore the universe more. It could be a relationship that I liked; it could be a character who never got enough space or didn't get a chance to tell his (her) side of the story. In some fandoms, I focus almost solely on the AUs, especially if there is a lot of places for canon divergences. And sometimes I really want to learn more about a certain character whose motivations I never understood, and fanfic offers new insights into that.
I don't think I have one like that. I have plenty of things I want to write and some of them are higher on that list, but nothing that really screams "this is the one idea".
From the stories that are higher on my list, I'd pick the Dragon!Neal fic. And there was a Star Wars AU epic that I liked a lot, but I've rewritten it and changed the plot so many times...
I really want to write at least one more fic in the Conspiracies universe, because I want to leave the characters in a happier place than where they ended.
I think about it almost exclusively in English (the universe is English, so it feels more natural) - the obvious exemption is when I'm having my brothers/friends helping me figure out a plothole, or occasionally when I'm researching some factual information and turn to Czech resources. Actually nowadays I'm switching between thinking in Czech and English even when it comes to random topics like school, work and people, so there is that.
Hmmmm, that's a tough question. Absolutely anywhere?
I think I'd like to visit some places, like Paris or New York for the cities; Norway, Canada or New Zealand for the nature; or maybe Japan, because that's where aikido is from and it's been a key part of my life for nearly a decade now.
But if I really could go anywhere sometime in the near future, then I'd say either to the upcoming DC meet-up to finally meet all of you, or back to Glasgow to see some of the friends I left there.
I love music :D I don't really have a favorite style, though. I like bits of jazz, rock, pop, classic music, even country music - it really depends on the mood. The only thing really I don't like is rap (which I don't consider music anyway...) and heavy-metal. I have some favorite musicians and favorite songs; there are some movie soundtracks that I absolutely love... there are songs and melodies I could listen to over and over.
I played the flute for about ten years before I stopped, and I'd really like to learn to play a quitar one day (I know some very basics, but not much). I also love to sing. When I was a kid, my whole immediate family would sit down, we would lit up a candle and my dad would play the guitar while we all sang. We did this maybe once a month and it was always a wonderful evening that I really enjoyed - the whole family together sitting on the old couch, singing, cuddling and just being there together. Even now, when a group sit down to sing and play a quitar, either inside or around a fire, it gives me all those warm feelings of friendship and family - one of my favorite times of the year is the Chrismas celebration at my university department, when in between eating, drinking and chatting our whole group sings and plays guitars (and violins, the accordion or whatever someone brings).

So, I love music :)
