H/C Bingo Card

Okay, so I've always failed pitifully at bingos, but this time I really liked a lot of the H/C prompts and I might also make some art fills... So maybe this time it'll actually work?

Anyway, the card looks pretty good, and what's even better, several of the prompts go well with some of my older WIPs and plot bunnies. This could be fun :)

That is a very neat card, I'm certain you'll have no trouble achieving a bingo, after all, all you need are 5 fills and now that you're also doing art, you are halfway there already :D Even a picspam can be a fill, so you got fic, art and picspams to play with :D

How about two paralell lines as a bongo?

Unexpected pregnancy - clearly a Neal/Sara fic
Dungeons - art, glorious art

and then

Poisoning - that spidey fic would include poison, right? :P
Skeletons in the closet - well, either a fic or it could be taken literally like a pic of injured Neal hiding in a closet and there's a skeleton in there, too, hee
Torture - fic or art :)

Or a diagonal line:

Unconsciousness - short fic about Neal's close encounter with a crowbar or something :P
Moving - Sara's POV on how difficult it was for her to move to London and leave Neal behind
WILD CARD - anything goes :D
Accept injury to protect someone else - love, love, love, the obvious choice is Neal taking a bullet for Peter or the other way around, but you can come up with quite a few other scenarios. Art could be a fill, too :D
Imprisonment - art, poor injured Neal locked somewhere :D

Actually I can imagine stories or art for all of these... there isn't a prompt that I'd really dislike or feel completely blocked about.

I don't know if I want to pick a particular line... I'm almost tempted to go for a blackout – the minimum for fics is 500 words, and if I made sure they didn’t grow into epics, it could be doable… Let’s see what I got:

Prompts I really like:
Fall from grace, Falsely imprisoned (similar one is Imprisonment), Dungeons, Dub-con, Forced to rely on enemy/rival, Natural disasters, Assault, Accept injury to protect someone, First transformation.

The pregnancy prompt I could probably deal with. Blindness is borderline triggery for me, but “Loss of vision” could be metaphorical, right? “Unconsciousness”… an art fill? “Amnesia”… I don’t know yet. I’d have to think about that.

‘Moving’ doesn’t inspire me at this point, but I know there are lots of options. “Loss of voice”… again, if I’m stuck, I could go for a metaphorical level? “Bites”… No, nothing on that one. Maybe an art fill? “Poisoning” also has a lot of options…

“Serial killers”… huh. Do they have to be “serial”? Because there are wonderful evil characters like Rachel and Keller, but they don’t really qualify, I guess… “Skeletons in the closet” – another art fill? Maybe Neal is searching for all these secret places at June’s and finds a truly ugly surprise… (*laughs evilly*). “Disappearing” – not sure yet.

“Combat” is where one of my old WIPs comes in. I do have plenty of experience writing “torture”. As for forced marriage, that is where I’d probably have to leave WC fandom and go Star Wars, HP or even Avatar: tLA/LoK.

On a second thought, I'm contemplating doing "Confetti" (the 12 square version, starting with "Difficult/Unplanned pregnancy") and/or a "Straight line" starting with "Fall from grace" and ending in "First transformation".

That way, I'd avoid most of the prompts I dislike and missed only "Accept injury to protect someone out of those I like", which I could still use for a wild-card if I wanted. And it would be 17 squares, which is less killer than the full 25-square blackout.

Hmmm. Maybe this could work...

That all sounds like a plan, heee :D I'm gonna start with random square fills, once I have a few of them, I'll start working towards a bingo line and take it from there, that way if I fail at a blackout, I'll still have a line :D

I think the confetting also includes the 4 corners right? So I would start with 4 corners to have something and then continue with the confetti :D

Actually you can pick for the confetti - do either the twelve square or the thirteen square version (starting in corners or starting in the squares next to the corners).

There is a bingo though that has only the corners and the wild card (can't remember its name at the moment).

You could also fill a square even if it doesn't help towards a bingo, if the old prompt is alive enough C:

Oh, I relate completely. I have exponentially more ideas than I have actual fics. And the confetti bingo seems like a perfect fit for you! Glad you found something that works :D

Loss of voice could be Neal having laryngitis and Peter or Sara feeding him chicken soup and fluffing his pillows :)

And thanks for the idea, but the problem is I don't really care for that sort of fluff - and whenever I try to write it I usually fail miserably...
