... and I really don't know what to think. On its own, I rather liked it, but in context of the previous week it feels completely off.
So, last week Beckett stabbed a person to death with a scalpel. Granted, it was self-defence, but she still stabbed Niemann with her own hands - after being kidnapped and threatened with who knows what. Am I the only one who's thinking she should NOT be okay right now? Even if she isn't deeply traumatized, I would still expect the show to address this somehow. Also, Castle lured Tyson to the window to be killed - he set him up to be shot - but okay, in this case I can accept him not really being affected. But Beckett?
Honestly, I expected the two of them to be more unsettled by the whole mess... trying to be closer to each other, making sure the other one was still there; being worried, feeling grateful that they were both alive, unharmed and together - well, something along these lines. However, instead of Castle-Beckett moments, we get Martha and Alexis comic-relief/drama... and I like both Martha and Alexis, but at this moment the whole subplot seriously annoyed me.
Really, I think this episode should have happened either earlier or later in the season. Am I the only one who feels that way?
