Fanart: Changing Times (White Collar)

So I’m here again with productive procrastination…

I didn’t write much of my RBB today, but I did finish this post-S6 art piece which has been in my folder for a couple months…

A few months after he faked his death, Neal learns that Sara has gotten engaged, and wonders what else has changed.

I blame the show for putting these scenarions in my mind... :(

Awww, love it *pets poor Neal*

I especially love the pics in Neal's hand to complete the image of things he was forced to give up, aww ♥

I KNOW!!! *Hugs him*

I'm glad you noticed the photos - even if they're not in the focus, they complete the picture of all Neal has lost through his decision. It just makes me so sad to think of them like this.

Still, we can make up our own conclusions and imagine a happier future for them, so that's what I'm going to do.

*cries* I sure hope there's fic to go with this and it includes a happy ending. He can't lose them all!!

No fic I'm afraid, but feel free to imagine your own happy ending... or write it!

*Hugs*

Oh no... don't tempt me!! I have enough to write!

*ponders*

Crap.

[identity profile] sheenianni.livejournal.com 2015-05-24 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Muhahaha *laughs evilly*

But seriously, I could use a happy ending for them. There has not been enough happy endings written. We need more of them. I'd love to read something like that.

*(Not)Subtly encourages writing* :)

*glares*

You're not helping. The bunnies are encroaching.

And of course, I just realized I also have a similar plot line in an unfinished fic. *sigh*

See, perfect opportunity - you can finish the story :D *Nod nod*

(LOL at the Neal icon)

Beautiful artwork!! Well, Paris isn't that far from London... Thanks for sharing! Love your "productive procrastination"!!

True, and "engaged" doesn't mean married...

Thank you - I'm glad you liked it :)

This is so amazing!! Also, you just stomped on my heart, but let's not focus on that. Awesome!!

[identity profile] sheenianni.livejournal.com 2015-05-25 11:21 am (UTC)(link)
Awww, thank you! Sorry for stomping on your heart, though (but feel free to imagine your own happy ending :) ).

Impressive!

Not very popular opinion, but Neal actually deserves to learn that people get on with their lives after he tears their hearts apart.

If that's not a popular opinion, then I'm in the minority with you C:

[identity profile] treonb.livejournal.com 2015-05-25 01:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee :-) Well, I assumed it's not popular, because poor Neal also deserves to have a happy ending. And he does.

Oh, definitely. But the world isn't going to stand still for a year, just because he's gone. No matter how Neal he is. (I couldn't find a suitable adjective :P)

[identity profile] sheenianni.livejournal.com 2015-05-25 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I may not want this to happen to him, but it easily could and he should damn well know that... but at the same I just don't want to see him hurt. Not sure who I'm quoting, but "sometimes it's good we don't get the things we deserve".
